Soft Medicine, 186 N. Main St. , Sebastopol

Nurture your inner world through live music, ritual, & community connection. Together we'll join to heal through song and heart! Featuring Copper Wimmin, Donna De Lory, special guest Joss Jaffe, & artist Shiloh Sophia.

Copper Wimmin: Like the three fates weaving us into existence, Copper Wimmin’s intricate vocal tapestries remind us of the time when all was sacred. Alyx, Kiranjot, and Sophia have been singing together since they were 12 years old. They were finalists in the Lilith Fair Talent search, and silver medalists in the A cappella Harmony sweepstakes, where they won first place for best original song and arrangement. They were featured on Amy Goodmans Democracy Now, and were the recipients of the 2006 Isadora Duncan Dance award for best musical score. In 2006, their song "Bleeding Rivers" was featured on the Showtime television series “The L Word.”

Donna De Lory: A singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose radiant voice and expansive musical vision encompass pop, world music, electronica and devotional mantras. In the pop realm, she’s perhaps best known for her work with Madonna as a backup singer and dancer, seen in the documentary film Truth or Dare and on Madonna’s Who’s That Girl, Blonde Ambition, Girlie Show, Drowned World, Reinvention and Confession tours. But De Lory’s own music has topped the Billboard Dance Chart several times, and her voice has been heard on landmark albums by artists such as Bette Midler, Leonard Cohen, Belinda Carlisle, Carly Simon and Selena. She has also sung on soundtracks for feature films like A League of Their Own, Smallfoot and The Switch. Her newest album, Sing to the Light has already garnered widespread social media acclaim, moving one to exclaim, “the more I listen, the more beautiful your music becomes!”

Joss Jaffe: A Billboard Top-10 artist known for his work in mantra music, world music & ambient soundscapes and has travelled around the globe bringing his music to new audiences at premiere yoga festivals.

Shiloh Sophia: Lives life as a great adventure narrated by the creative fire of her Muse! She has been painting, writing poetry, publishing books and teaching at universities, the United Nations and in her own programs and around the world for over twenty years. Her soul work is inspired by the idea that self expression, the freedom to express what each person thinks and feels in the world, is a basic human right. Her research and development around this idea has focused on serving women and girls through giving them access to methods of transformational art-making through stories, symbols and inquiry.

Concert will be located upstairs in the Soft Medicine Loft ( Elevator access is available from the first floor) Doors open at 7:30 Show 8 pm

Copper Wimmin Album Release Concert with special guest Joss Jaffe

Three Part Harmony to Soothe All Souls.

Conjuring high-potency feminine power, Copper Wimmin invite you into a transformational experience. Like the three fates weaving us into existence, Copper Wimmin’s intricate vocal tapestries remind us of the time when all was sacred. You will be invited to breath, pray and join your voice in the celestial chorus.

Alyx, Kiranjot, and Sophia have been singing together since they were 12 years old. They were finalists in the Lilith Fair Talent search, and silver medalists in the A cappella Harmony sweepstakes, where they won first place for best original song and arrangement. They were featured on Amy Goodmans NPR program Democracy Now, and were the recipients of the 2006 Isadora Duncan Dance award for best musical score. In 2006, their song "Bleeding Rivers" was featured on the Showtime television series “The L Word.”

Unlike many other female artists before them who struggled to find a female musical lineage in a male dominated industry; Copper Wimmin grew up listening almost exclusively to women’s music. Influences such as Tracy Chapman, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Zap Mama, Ani DiFranco and Joan Baez informed their musical sensibility and gave them a vision of what was possible with the human voice.

In 2006 Copper Wimmin disbanded to pursue individual projects and expand their musical horizons. Kiranjot spent five years studying Indian classical music in Amritsar, India, Sophia became a yoga teacher and released a solo album called Ready Now, Alyx deepened her songwriting process and focused on her family.

After a break of almost 14 years Copper Wimmin released their new singles “Heart Full of Flowers” in 2022 their lullaby “Zeba” and their feminist anthem “Rise” in 2023. With so much upheaval and conflict in the world they felt called to bring their voices together once again in service to womens’s empowerment, healing, and transformation.
